Launching of Kodak EKTACHROME E100 in 120 & 4×5
Two years after the initial rebirth, Kodak has just dropped the bomb and officially released Ektachrome E100 in 120 and 4×5 sheets.
Here’s a copy of their press release:
INTRODUCING EKTACHROME E100 120!
ROCHESTER, N.Y. Dec 10, 2019 – Kodak Alaris today announced the launch of EKTACHROME E100 in larger formats.
A new 120 format 5-roll pro pack is available for sale now, and a new 10 sheet 4×5 item will be made available very shortly.
These new format offerings follow on the highly successful launch of EKTACHROME E100 in 135-36x size last year.
“Our new E100 film is a big hit with photographers of all ages” said Dennis Olbrich, President – Kodak Alaris Imaging Paper, Photo Chemicals and Film.
Sales of professional photographic films have been steadily rising over the last few years, with professionals and enthusiasts alike rediscovering the artistic control offered by manual processes and the creative satisfaction of a physical product.
KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTACHROME E100 is a daylight balanced colour positive film, featuring clean, vibrant colours, a neutral tone scale, and extremely fine grain. Its distinctive look is well suited to a wide range of applications, such as product, landscape, nature & fashion photography.
Kodak has also shared on Facebook a first sample shot on 120.
To add to the good news, I also got an email from my friends at Analogue Wonderland letting us know that Ektachrome 120 is booked to arrive in their warehouse NEXT WEEK which means that they’ll be able to deliver to UK households ahead of Christmas!!
I can’t wait to get my hands on this new chap and maybe even giveaway a few rolls to some of you 😉 Of course these will be available to those of you who’ve been a good girl/boy throughout the year 🎅
Hi, I’m Vincent Moschetti! I love shooting film and talking about it 📸
